In the days leading up to Easter, the values of unity, humanity and gratitude towards those who defend our country every day feel especially important.
On the eve of Easter, Roman Hladyshevskyi, Rector of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, and representatives of the Center for Cooperation with Patrons and Alumni visited the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Western Region.
There were many conversations, both simple and important: about life, recovery, the strength to keep going and not lose faith; about people who accomplish the extraordinary every day, and those who support them.
During the visit, Easter breads and books were donated. Alongside words of support and gratitude, the discussions focused on practical opportunities for further cooperation.
We extend our sincere thanks to Colonel Taras Hren, Head of the Civil-Military Cooperation Department at the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Western Region, for a meaningful meeting and his openness to cooperation. We discussed performances by University arts groups for service members, days of renewal for medical staff and hospital employees at the University’s Botanical Garden, chess tournaments, and opportunities for service members to pursue their education at the University. Thematic meetings and open discussions with students, contemporary military journalism, and joint educational and communication initiatives were also identified as important areas of cooperation.
This visit was an important step towards closer cooperation grounded in mutual respect, support and a shared vision of the future.
