About us

The Center for Cooperation with Patrons and Alumni is a structural unit of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. We develop long-term partnerships between the University, its alumni and benefactors, initiate joint projects and create new ways to work together.

The Center helps attract financial and non-financial support for educational, research, infrastructure and social initiatives. We promote a culture of philanthropy and support the development of the University’s alumni community in Ukraine and abroad.

The Center operates in accordance with Ukrainian legislation, the University Charter and its Regulations, and reports to the Rector of the University.

The Center was established by a decision of the Academic Council of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (Minutes No. 1/12 of 23 December 2025), enacted by Rector’s Order No. O-177 of 24 December 2025.

Our Mission

To contribute to the University’s sustainable development by building a culture of philanthropy and partnership based on shared values, trust and mutually beneficial cooperation.

Our Main Areas of Work

• Philanthropy: expanding the University’s network of donors and partners; developing relationships with patrons and alumni; initiating and coordinating charitable projects and programmes, including scholarships, infrastructure and social and educational initiatives; collecting and using donations effectively; and maintaining transparency and trust through communication and reporting to donors.
• Promotion: presenting the University effectively to internal and external audiences and organising promotional and career guidance events.
• Development and fundraising: identifying and using grant opportunities to support the University’s needs; helping faculties and other units prepare grant applications; attracting targeted support from public and private foundations; and building relationships with national and international donors, charitable foundations, patrons and sponsors to increase non-budget funding.
